Why is it a response of lawyers, when they hear about abusive, corrupt acts of government officials, to advise those harmed by the corrupt government officials to hire a lawyer?

Some things should be dealt with as a crime, not as a lawsuit. Or don’t lawyers care, especially if it generates fees they can collect from those harmed by the corruption.?

And do they really think that such lawsuits would accomplish much in a locality where corruption is widespread, even accepted as part of the culture? How many of the local judges could be trusted in such a situation?

If someone threatens to file a lawsuit against me, or list me as a defendant in a lawsuit against someone else, for refusing to give false testimony in this person’s favor, is this a crime?

He’s basically saying "give false testimony or I’ll come after you individually" – now obviously he won’t come after me for that. He’ll probably find some bullspit just to waste my time.

Can I file a lawsuit against the university for my athletic coach sharing a university form which showed my grades and status in my classes with other players and athletic staff? I am going to be filing a lawsuit against some defendants that all work at the same place. The company knows that the lawsuit is coming but not in depth. To avoid an affirmative defense that any of the defendants weren’t properly served, I was going to file the lawsuit in state court first. Have all the defendants served by publication. Once I received the documentation that it indeed published, I was going to file a removal of the case from state to federal court. Is that a good idea to do this?
