my credit report lists a tax lien on me from 2001 and I can’t find any info on it anywhere!
I recently pulled a credit report and discovered that I have a property tax lien against me. I lost my home due to financial hardship in early 07. The property was sold about 6 months after the bank took it back. Question is should the property tax be paid by the bank when they sold the foreclosure?
So I recently pull my credit report and I saw a state tax lien for 00.
I don’t owe taxes or money on anything. The only thing that is outstanding is a traffic ticket that I couldn’t afford to pay. Could this be a ticket? It’s even listed as out of Sacramento – where the tax place is.
the credit bureau wont remove it, do they have to? Even though the dept of revenue made a mistake
I was reviewing my credit report and found that I have a state tax lien on me from nearly 10 years ago. I wasn’t living in the state at the time. I did not own any property. What are the reasons I might have had a tax lien put on me?
Aside from owning property or child support, what could be other reasons someone might have a tax lien placed on them?
I actually grew up there, but moved away about 5 or 6 years before this judgement.
We are purchasing a home that is scheduled to close within a week. There is an erroneous ,000 tax lien on my credit report from 11 years ago. The state said they have no record of a lien, but they would investigate it after they receive a written request. The timing is the issue. We will lose the home purchase is it takes longer than a few days. I need a faster way to correct this mistake.
I just found out that there is a judgment filed against me by the State of New York, when I opened my latest credit report. That was the first time I heard about it. I was never contacted by the New York State Department. I have not lived in New York for four years now. I have two questions:
1. What options do I have available to dispute a judgment that has already been filed?
2. Can I get arrested if I am in New York for not having paid the judgment?
MY credit report is showing a tax lien. From what I have been told that is when you own property and do not pay the taxes. I have never owned any property, so what else can it mean?
Long story short, my husband owes around 1000 to the state from back taxes before we were married. He set this up on payments to take care of it but they said until it’s paid off in full there will be a tax lien on our house. The house is in both mine and my husbands name, I know it will show on his credit report but will it show on mine too?
