I was enrolled in a credit CARD consolidation program that was shut down by the state of Florida. The state took my money that was sitting in an escrow account for settling my debts. The state did not return the funds they sized. Since them ny credit score has collapsed and I am forced to pay my debts twice. How do i go about filing a lawsuit against the state for taking my money?

If you say it will stay on 7-10 years, is that from the time it was first reported? Or when it released? I was told my credit score won’t go up until this tax lien is removed. It’s the only bad mark otherwise.

The IRS placed a federal tax lien on my credit report last year. I was able to have the lien paid and released a few months ago. It now shows as a released federal tax lien on my report. This is the only negative entry on my credit.
What impact does a released federal tax lien have on my credit score?
(The original amount of the lien reported was ,000, if that has any relevance since it is paid now)

My girlfriend is about to have an IRS tax lien attached to her checking account, of which I am a joint owner. Will this affect my credit score? If it does, should we close the account and have her set-up her own individual checking account?

I have several thousand dollars worth of medical bills that I’m being allowed to pay back, interest free over a one year period. Part of the arrangement includes having a lien. That means, if I come into a large amount of money, such as win the lottery, my bill will be paid before I see a cent.
I wondered if my credit score will go down now that the lien is attached to my name.
The lien information will be a matter of public record. I was told that because the lien was medically related, I may be given more slack than other types of liens.

Ok, I am guessing not but I read a few anwsers to a question the same as mine and they were saying it would be removed when paid. I am in Minnesota. Should have a great credit score but this paid tax lien is really holding us down on our credit report. Any help would be great. It was paid this year.

I have some cash and want to improve my credit score. I have an IRS tax lien for about the same amount as my outstanding credit card balances. What would be a better action? Should I pay off the tax lien, currently on installment, or should I pay off credit card debt?

I have been on a payment plan with the IRS for a tax lien, and need to settle the lien before I will be able to close on a mortgage. Once the lien is settled, will this raise my credit score, or only show that the lien has been released? Either way, I’m going to pay off the lien.

Hi, I am looking at buying a home. 3 years ago I lost my job and went bankrupt and had a foreclosure. How long do I have to wait before I can get a conventional home loan? My credit score is 684 if that helps.
