Has anyone had a lawsuit resulting from an epidural gone wrong?
Wednesday, September 15th, 2010 at 6:31 pm
I have ran into three other random women this past week who have had problems from their epidurals. All of them had lumbar puncture associated. We all came from the same hospital, maybe even the same anastesiologist. Do we have a class action lawsuit case here?

Maybe you do… you should check in to it.
I had an epidural also but no problems.. but I think you sign a release form for that… My sister had one and couldn’t move her right leg for like 20 minutes.
doubtful, that is why they made you sign that piece of paper for the drugs.
You would have to prove negligence on the part of the doctors, staff, or hospital. Being unsatisfied is not in itself grounds for a suit.
Review the sources to get a general idea whether you have grounds or not. If you believe you might, consult a lawyer.
"What Is Medical Malpractice?
Medical malpractice occurs where a medical practitioner acts in a negligent manner when treating a medical condition. Malpractice can occur from an action taken by the medical practitioner, or by the failure to take a medically appropriate action. Examples of medical malpractice include:
•Failure to diagnose, or misdiagnosis of a disease or medical condition;
•Failure to provide appropriate treatment for a medical condition;
•Unreasonable delay in treating a diagnosed medical condition;
The laws and rules governing malpractice lawsuits in each state can vary significantly."
There have been successful lawsuits in every section of medicine. No one can tell about your specific case without knowing all the details.
you all should talk to a lawyer to research it. If your all from the same hospital thats even worse and I would have it checked to see who did it. You can even have this done by yourselfs at first. Have each person request their medical papers saying what they got and by who then you would know if it was the same person and then yes I would say you all have a case….
BUT you have to check to see what you signed, there are many risks with the EPI that you signed acknowledging them. BUT still if you all have had issues then you need to contact a lawyer ASAP> Remember medical lawsuits have a time limit in NY its 7 yrs
What hospital? What doctor?
You should see a lawyer as soon as possible.
