How do I get rid of an IRS Tax Lien?

I have had a run-in with the IRS. The IRS is saying that I have a tax lien and I owe K in back taxes. Does anyone know what I should do to get rid of this IRS tax lien? I am having a lot of problems with all of this tax debt. Please someone help me!

Do I have to pay this tax lien that is not mine?

I was married recently and my husband owes the IRS back taxes for which he has already made payment arrangements. I am closing on the sale of my home in 2 weeks and the title company states that this obligation now has to be paid in full. The house is in my name only. He and I have both talked to the IRS and they told us that I am not responsible. I went to the Register of Deeds and they could not find a lien against my property in their records. We live in the state of Wisconsin. Where is the title company coming up with this information?
