I am trying to relocate and I am fed up with all the nonsense across the internet with companies that say they can provide a solution relating to a loan for me with a tax lien. yet…not one can do so…Is there any way to get a small SECURED BY Real Estate Loan out there with a Tax lien? By the way the tax lien will be gone in a few months…
If a tax lien has been filed due to IRS income tax, that gives them the right to seize real estate (minus homestead). Does that also give them rights to seize stocks/bonds held (whether currently held or upon sale)?
The real estate office has now pulled it off of the market and acts like they have no clue what to do. Can I still buy this property? It would not be worth satisfying the lien, it is 0,000 on a house I am only willing to give about ,000 for. The real estate agent said someone told her something about running an ad in the paper for 3 months then it can be sold, any expertise on this one?
This is a follow up question … IN a nutshell my boarding house manager was drunk one night he choked me in front of a witness and then fled… he was arrested later that night and charged with domestic violence.. i filed a restraining order and today in court in was made permanent for one year.. the judge also stated i have a potential lawsuit i can file against the home owner who employed the house manager.. Question i have for you all is anyone familiar with the law.. can you tell me if you were in my shoes what grounds would that lawsuit be on… People on here have said it would be easier to move.. that may be true but at this time i don’t have the money and second and most importantly.. is everyone saying .. just let it go.. like it never happened.. he has broken into other tenants rooms including a pregnant woman and also another roommate.. every time there’s an incident the home owners are contacted .. and all they have to say is.. well maybe with all the drama there everyone needs to move and we can just sell the home… its a care free attitude.. and yet they continue to employ him… the idea of a lawsuit has come to me as a means of showing them you cant treat people like that… about the choking incident i was not hospitalized or anything like that … and i live in Tacoma,Washington…

I had a federal IRS audit for 1982 and spent 10 years fighting it and won. But California state still thinks I ow them something and over 10 years ago they filed a tax lein on me.. I can not buy any real estate (even out of state) because it is still on my credit report. How can I solve this problem.
I was bored and looked at the real estate section on ebay earlier. There were all these auctions that seemed to be for the tax lien on a property but not the actual property itself.
What is the point of buying that? What do you do once you own a tax lien- do people buy it hoping to get the owner to pay on the lien and make a profit, or is it that once you own the lien you can take the property from them if they don’t pay up?
